Businesses run their operations 24/7 on Gearworks-powered mobile applications. High uptime and performance, data security, and employee privacy are required.

Uptime and performance: Gearworks, together with our carrier partners, deliver the most reliable, high performance platform in the industry. Our infrastructure exceeds the 99.99% uptime requirement demanded by the carriers and we expect to maintain 99.999% in 2008. For selected customers, Gearworks will work together with the carriers to negotiate specific service-level guarantees.

Data Security: Gearworks infrastructure is hosted at a SysTrust certified data center.  Access to data is highly restricted. All transactions to and from the production servers are secured using SSL-encryption provided by VeriSign. Company-specific customer data is secured from other customers and strictly enforced within the application to keep customer data secure and isolated.

Employee Privacy: Gearworks applications support multiple layers of employee privacy consistent with emerging CTIA guidelines. Employees must turn on and approve GPS tracking when they first receive their handsets using a device-specific password. Tracking occurs only during operating hours that are set in the application. Only users with valid customer accounts can note the location of employees that have agreed to be tracked during operating hours.
